Highlights of the eighth day at the French Open on Sunday (times GMT):

Former finalist Alexander Zverev overcame early nerves to beat Jesper De Jong 7-6(3) 6-4 6-1 to reach ​the quarter-finals, where the second seed will face Rafael Jodar.

Spanish ‌19-year-old Rafael Jodar fought back to beat compatriot Pablo Carreno Busta 4-6 4-6 6-1 6-2 6-2 to reach the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam for the first time.

Ukrainian seventh seed Elina Svitolina reached ​the French Open's quarter-finals for the sixth time in her career, knocking out Switzerland's 11th seed ​Belinda Bencic 4-6 6-4 6-0. She will face fellow Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk in the ⁠last eight.
